This ZIMMER Furniture “New England Quarter Sawn White Oak Farm Dining Table” is but one variation of many. This specific table is 10’ long and 40” wide – seats 10 with plenty of room for serving ware. This table boasts characteristics we believe represent a true New England Farm Table like a solid hardwood table-top, an apron, and substantial legs; usually turned and ornate. This specifific table’s top is 1 ¾” hand distressed quarter sawn white oak plank, 6” wide stained golden oak and finished with a sprayed sealant/catalyzed varnish.
A robust table base is a prerequisite with all our New England Farm tables – choose from many variations of squared tapered or turned Shaker style legs. All table bases are available painted or left natural and available in oak, cherry, walnut woods to name a few. “Corner leg bracing” using a wedge – bolt system holds the leg firmly in place yet can easily be removed for moving. Table top options include straight-edge and live-edge boards or slabs available in a variety of “sustainable” hardwood species. Many finish options exist for both the table top and base that include smooth surface, hand distressed, heavily figured and barn wood.
